MEET OUR NEW HEAD CHEF

We’re thrilled to introduce Alessandro Sportelli as the new
Head Chef at Amatrice Rooftop Restaurant.

Originating from Rome, Alessandro contributes a wealth of experience to our Cremorne kitchen - having spent years in Michelin-starred establishments in Italy and the Netherlands, as well as holding leadership positions in some of Melbourne’s most renowned venues. He played a key role in the launch of Di Stasio Citta as Sous Chef and Di Stasio Carlton as Head Chef, both of which received Chefs Hats, and most recently served as Group Head Pastry Chef for the Di Stasio group.

At Amatrice, Alessandro leads a menu inspired by his Roman roots, Italian regional traditions, and a deep respect for Roman pasta. Expect elegant, pasta-forward dining from ten floors up, paired with the views that define Amatrice Rooftop.
